The Björketorp Monument - The Full Runic Inscription

There are runes on all the three big stones in the Bjrketorp monument. In addition there are also runes on a fourth stone, which can be called stone D, and which is located in the row of stones with 100 bearing.

Stone A

The inscription begins with six lines containing 90 runes on the front of stone A. These six lines covers an area of about 33 cubits, because the area covered is 3 cubits high and 3 cubits wide in its broadest place. The area covered by the first six lines is located between 1.5 and 4.5 cubits above the ground level. The inscription then continues with a seventh line with 10 runes, located on the back of stone A, about 3 cubits above ground level.

The 8th and 9th lines then, with 10 runes in all are on the approximate eighth level between 7 and 7.7 cubits above the ground level, on the front of stone A:

The inscription of stone A is then concluded with 5 lines starting close to the top on the back of the stone:

In all there are therefore 14 rows of runes on stone A, and the runes of these rows can be transcribed as follows:

A Hebrew/Aramaic transcription of all the runes of stone A can therefore be written in the following way:

Stones B and C

Then there are three rows on stone B and four rows on stone C:

... so in total there are 21 = 73 rows of runes on the three big stones - A, B and C - of the monument.

...and the runes of stones B and C can be transcribed as follows:

A Hebrew/Aramaic transcription of all the runes of stones B and C can therefore be written in the following way:

Stone D

Then the inscription continues on the fourth stone, stone D, that is located exactly 17.5 cubits from Stone A. A close examination of Stone D reveals that there are 42 runes on it. In total there are therefore 168 + 42 = 210 = 703 runes on stones A, B, C and D combined! On the northern side of Stone D there are 29 runes, and on its southern side there are 13 runes. The inscription on the northern side is the following:

And on the southern side the following runes are found:

Translation

Based on the Hebrew/Aramaic transcriptions above it is then possible to make the following translation of the full runic text of the whole Bjrketorp Monument into English:

The strong light/fire/happiness of the violent love breaks, and cuts off
Destroy violently! And El, of eternity and wisdom, pours out/destroys wholly and fully.
And the love of the pudenda helps his flash/flame.
And the moist entrance, assure certainly the destruction! And assure the violence of his desire!
And become desolate! Overflow with/by the fullness of the light/fire/happiness and Eloah Jah.
And the violence of his desire: Assure and rise with/by the fullness!
The light/fire/happiness flies with Jahu of eternity.
The light/fire/happiness which is eternal and Jahu
and the people of Israel!
Jaoo of wisdoaom! Jaoao!
Jaoaaoaa! Loaord!
Oaoaoaaa!!!
The Light!!!
